Abstract
Northeastern Thailand remainsone of the most undersampled areas for ant biodiversity. To address this knowledge gap, we present the first checklist of known ant species in the Songkhram River Basin (SRB). This list is based on specimens collected from 54 sampling sites across 19 districts in five SRB provinces. In total, 75 species, representing 38 genera and eight subfamilies, were recorded. Additionally, thirteen alien ant species were documented. Some ant specimens collected from the SRB are still awaiting identification, and future collections are expected to yield further new species records.
